IgG anti-Toxoplasma gondii antibody index as a measure of the naturally-acquired immune intrathecal response in a neuroepidemiological study

open access: yesRevista Cubana de Investigaciones Biomédicas, 2019
Introduction: The presence of IgG anti-Toxoplasma gondii has been used as an indicator to measure the naturally-acquired immune intrathecal response due to the polyclonal and polyspecific intrathecal response developed in neuroinflammation processes. The

[Usefulness of total dry blood samples on filter paper in the detection of antitoxoplasma antibodies].

open access: yesRevista do Instituto de Medicina Tropical de Sao Paulo, 1990
Direct Agglutination (DA) techniques, both, using dry blood samples in filter paper and serum samples, were compared with the ELISA test in order to detect antibodies against Toxoplasma gondii. The results show the validity of the dry blood samples in filter paper for detecting antitoxoplasma antibodies with a DA test.

The risk of toxoplasmic encephalitis in HIV-infected patients with different serological profiles of antitoxoplasma antibodies

open access: yesScienceRise: Medical Science, 2016

[Comparison of antitoxoplasma antibody level using various serologic tests in women in consecutive trimesters of pregnancy].

open access: yesMedycyna doswiadczalna i mikrobiologia, 1994
A total of 540 women, in two clinical groups, differing by information obtained during the interview, were investigated. Several observations were made. It was found that values of titers in indirect immunofluorescnece test (OIF) in consecutive trimesters of pregnancy in the same women are not changing in 50%, in about 10% differ by some to 10 times ...
