Abstract Serum anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) is a biomarker for predicting antral follicle counts but there is no clear consensus on whether AMH is indicative of primordial follicle counts in humans. Mice were used as a model species in this study to obtain accurate follicle counts across the reproductive phase of life.
