Collision‐Induced Fragmentation of Oligosaccharides: Mechanistic Insights for Mass Spectrometry‐Based Glycomics

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, Accepted Article.
Structural alterations in oligosaccharide structure are often associated with disease, positioning clinical glycomics an emerging tool for diagnostics. This is most commonly achieved using a controlled collision‐induced dissociation (CID) of larger oligosaccharides into fragments and measuring their mass in a mass spectrometer. Due to the complexity of

p16 Expression in Multinucleated Stromal Cells of Fibroepithelial Polyps of the Anus (FEPA): A Comprehensive Review and Our Experience

open access: yesGastroenterology Insights
Fibroepithelial polyps of the anus (FEPA) are a common benign polypoid proliferation of the stroma covered by squamous epithelium. They are also an often-overlooked part of pathological practice.

Molecular‐Metallic Binding Characteristics of the Intermetalloid f‐/p‐Block Cluster [(La@In2Bi11)2Bi2]6–

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, Accepted Article.
Main goals of contemporary research in chemistry are to create new materials with unique properties and to understand the chemical bonding in them, especially between metal atoms in larger structures. The isolation of a single lanthanide atom in a In/Bi cage offers a non‐standard bonding situation, which deserves thorough exploration.

A fluorescent MTP‐based Detection Platform for Hydrogen Peroxide, Glucose, and Lactate

open access: yesAnalysis &Sensing, Accepted Article.
Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) is an important small metabolite often quantified with commercially available multi‐step fluorescence‐based assays. We developed a new microtiter plate (MTP) based platform that allows a rapid, one‐step assay with a ratiometric readout function.

Histochemical indications for a chemically complex signal produced by the cervical gill slit gland of the pygmy sperm whale (Kogia breviceps)

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract The pygmy sperm whale (Kogia breviceps) possesses an exocrine gland associated with its false gill slit pigmentation pattern. The cervical gill slit gland is a compound tubuloalveolar gland that produces a holocrine secretion and displays maturational changes in size and secretory histology. While the morphology of the cervical gill slit gland

Dual‐Antenna Trimetallic Lanthanide Complexes for Enhanced Near‐Infrared Luminescence

open access: yesChemistry – An Asian Journal, EarlyView.
Dual‐antenna trimetallic lanthanide complexes, [(L‐Zn)2‐Ln], exhibit enhanced near‐infrared luminescence through improved energy transfer from two Zn‐ligand antenna units. Compared to bimetallic analogues, these complexes show reduced non‐radiative losses and superior NIR emission.
