Practical Recommendations for Anticoagulation in Patients With Atrial Fibrillation

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Clinical Investigation, Volume 56, Issue 5, May 2026.
Oral anticoagulation (OAC) reduces stroke risk by at least two thirds and mortality by one fourth. The threshold for net clinical benefit of OAC is met when stroke risk exceeds 1%–2% per year. Direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs) are preferred to vitamin K antagonists (VKAs) in most patients, including in the elderly and chronic kidney disease ...

B Cell Subsets and Atherosclerosis: Updates and Emerging Concepts

open access: yesImmunological Reviews, Volume 339, Issue 1, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) is increasingly recognized not just as a lipid‐driven disease, but as a complex interplay between vascular cells and the immune system. Identification and Validation of DLD as a Cuproptosis‐Associated Biomarker in Preeclampsia

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, Volume 40, Issue 8, 30 April 2026.
DLD is identified as a preeclampsia‐associated cuproptosis hub gene by bioinformatics. DLD overexpression inhibits trophoblast proliferation, invasion, and migration, disrupts TCA cycle metabolism, and alters mitochondrial ultrastructure. These findings reveal that DLD may contribute to preeclampsia pathogenesis through cuproptosis.
