Prognostic Factors for Free Flap Failure in Head and Neck Reconstruction

open access: yesHead &Neck, Volume 47, Issue 7, Page 1857-1866, July 2025.
ABSTRACT Background The failure rate of free flaps varies from 0.8% to 10.6% in the literature in head and neck reconstruction. The primary objective was to identify prognostic factors for free flap failure. Methods We prospectively included all consecutive free flaps performed between August 2021 and January 2024, and used a multivariate Cox ...

Amphiregulin Promotes Proliferation and Migration of the Damaged Endothelial Cells in Kawasaki Disease Cell Models

open access: yesImmunity, Inflammation and Disease, Volume 13, Issue 7, Page publicationMeta, July 2025.
ABSTRACT Objectives Amphiregulin (Areg), a member of the epidermal growth factor family, plays a critical role in tissue repair, inflammation, and immunity. Macrophages are an important source of Areg and are also among the key immune cells activated in Kawasaki disease (KD). Despite this, the role of Areg in KD has not been studied.

Ureteroarterial fistula: Late infectious common iliac artery pseudoaneurysm formation following successful endovascular stenting and literature review

open access: yesIJU Case Reports, Volume 8, Issue 4, Page 305-309, July 2025.
Introduction The long‐term prognosis of endovascular stenting for ureteroarterial fistulas is not always favorable. We present a case in which endovascular repair of a ureteroarterial fistula led to the development of an infectious iliac artery pseudoaneurysm that required open vascular graft replacement 1 year later.
