Three‐Cusp View Orientation in TAVI: Evaluating LOA Versus Non‐LOA Impact on Outcomes With Contemporary Valve Prostheses

open access: yesCatheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions, Volume 106, Issue 4, Page 2567-2578, October 1, 2025.
ABSTRACT Background Optimal projection views during transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) procedures are critical for procedural success and patient outcomes. Aims This study investigated the influence of 3‐cusp view orientation—line of alignment (LOA) versus non‐LOA—on procedural outcomes in patients undergoing TAVI with contemporary ...

Lessons Learned From the ACURATE IDE Trial for Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement

open access: yesCatheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions, Volume 106, Issue 4, Page 2554-2560, October 1, 2025.
ABSTRACT The recent voluntary withdrawal of the ACURATE neo2 transcatheter aortic valve replacement device by Boston Scientific offers a compelling case study in the complex interplay of device design, clinical evidence, regulatory requirements, and market dynamics in modern structural heart interventions.

Two‐Year Results of Percutaneous Endocardial Septal Radiofrequency Ablation for Hypertrophic Obstructive Cardiomyopathy

open access: yesCatheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions, Volume 106, Issue 4, Page 2763-2769, October 1, 2025.
ABSTRACT Background Hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy (HOCM) is a hereditary myocardial disease. Percutaneous endocardial septal radiofrequency ablation (PESA) is an innovative approach for treating HOCM. Consequently, we present the outcomes of the PESA for HOCM. Methods This study included 20 patients with HOCM who received PESA.

Navigating Diagnostic Dilemmas in Cardiology: A Rare Case Report of Tuberculosis Presenting as a Cardiac Abscess

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 13, Issue 10, October 2025.
ABSTRACT Cardiac tuberculosis (TB) is a rare but important extrapulmonary form of TB that often presents diagnostic challenges due to nonspecific symptoms and its ability to mimic other cardiac conditions. We report the case of a 45‐year‐old woman with end‐stage renal disease secondary to granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA) who presented with fever ...

Fabry Disease Associated With Myelodysplastic Syndrome: Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 13, Issue 10, October 2025.
ABSTRACT This is the first reported case of Fabry disease (FD) coexisting with myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS). While the coexistence of FD and MDS may be incidental, the case underscores the importance of considering FD in patients with unexplained systemic and hematological abnormalities, particularly those with a family history.
