Early Albumin Administration in Veno‐Arterial Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation

A total of 660 patients received VA ECMO support (66.4% eCPR). Three different volume resuscitation strategies were employed. The Crystalloid group received balanced crystalloid volume substitution. In the Albumin group, a 1:4 volume mixture of albumin and balanced crystalloids (10 g/L) was used.

ABSTRACT Background The circulation of 4–6 m tall giraffes is markedly affected by gravity. To ensure cerebral perfusion, upright giraffes generate a blood pressure in excess of 200 mmHg. Before drinking, the head is lowered by 3–5 m, providing exceptional hemodynamic challenges.
