Abstract Cardiac amyloidosis due to transthyretin (ATTR) remains an underdiagnosed cause of cardiomyopathy. As awareness of the disease grows and referrals for ATTR increase, clinicians are likely to encounter more atypical forms of the condition in clinical practice.

We aimed to diagnose occult ATTR‐CM in patients with severe aortic stenosis undergoing TAVI using bone scintigraphy. We verified a diagnosis of ATTR‐CM in 8 of 171 (4.7 %) consecutive aortic stenosis patients who underwent TAVI.
