Advances in Bioinspired Interfacial Adhesion with Frictional Enhancement: From Fundamental Research to Biomimetic Applications

open access: yesSmall Structures, Volume 7, Issue 2, February 2026.
Biological models in nature reveal remarkable friction‐adhesion mechanisms, driven by intermolecular forces and suction. Researchers leverage these principles to design advanced materials with enhanced adhesion properties. By optimizing these materials under stimuli like light and electricity, new solutions emerge for regulating interface interactions ...

open access: yesAgricultural and Forest Entomology, Volume 28, Issue 1, Page 82-93, February 2026.
Tree diversity increases arthropod richness and the abundance of beneficial arthropod groups within Atlantic Forest fragments. Higher insect richness in forest fragments is associated with greater richness in adjacent sugarcane fields, and both habitats share insect families, suggesting spillover.

Understanding Public Sector Risk Management in Contexts of Hybridity: A Structured Literature Review

open access: yesFinancial Accountability &Management, Volume 42, Issue 1, Page 119-140, February 2026.
ABSTRACT As risk management (RM) becomes more prevalent and public sector reforms increasingly blur the lines between the public and private spheres, understanding RM in these potentially hybridized settings becomes ever more critical. Building on the four dimensions of hybridity proposed by Denis et al.—namely, governance structures, agency and ...

Glycoside Hydrolase CaGH17‐12 Contributes to Phytophthora Blight Resistance by Activating the Production of Reactive Oxygen Species and Jasmonic Acid Signalling in Pepper

open access: yesMolecular Plant Pathology, Volume 27, Issue 2, February 2026.
Glycoside hydrolase 17 family gene CaGH17‐12 contributes to P. capsici resistance by degrading pathogen‐derived β‐glucans and generating β‐glucan oligosaccharides, thereby triggering downstream JA signalling and ROS‐mediated defence responses. ABSTRACT Glycoside hydrolase family 17 (GH17) plays a critical role in degrading pathogen cell walls and is ...
