Design & Analysis of Different Dynamic Functions of Nuclear Reactor and Accident Analysis of Six types of Reactors (ACP100, VVER1200, NuScale, ESBWR, AP1000, ABWR) using MATLAB, MATLAB-SIMULINK and PCTRAN

2019 2nd International Conference on Innovation in Engineering and Technology (ICIET), 2019
Different dynamic functions can describe the various nuclear reactor behaviors. Efforts expended to solve the functions using analytical or numerical solutions consume time and distract attention from the objectives of modeling itself. This research work presents the use of Simulink and MATLAB toolbox of MATLAB software as modeling and coding platform ...

The AP1000 reactor?the nuclear renaissance option

Nuclear Energy, 2004
The AP1000 is a two-loop, 1150 MWe pressurised water reactor (PWR) with passive safety features and extensive plant simplifications to enhance construction, operation and maintenance. The AP1000 design is derived directly from the AP600, a two-loop, 600 MWe PWR. The AP600 uses proven technology, which builds on over 30 years of operating PWR experience

Nodal Expansion and its Application in AP1000 Nuclear Reactor Core Monitoring System

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2013
As the core monitoring system of AP1000, BEACON always uses a full-core nodal model for core monitoring based on the ANC-NEM nodal model. The theory behind the nodal expansion method is discussed, and the application of the method in BEACON is described. Finally, an ANC-NEM calculation simulation is proposed.
