Comparison of the Diagnostic Ability of Endoscopic Ultrasonography and Abdominopelvic Computed Tomography in the Diagnosis of Gastric Subepithelial Tumors [PDF]

open access: yesClinical Endoscopy, 2019
Background/Aims Endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS) is the most efficient imaging modality for gastric subepithelial tumors (SETs). However, abdominopelvic computed tomography (APCT) has other advantages in evaluating the characteristics, local extension ...

Conformational Changes in the ApcT Amino Acid Transporter: Monte Carlo Normal Mode Following [PDF]

open access: yesBiophysical Journal, 2010
Amino acid/polyamine/organocation (APC) transporters belong to a large family (∼250) of secondary transport proteins that catalyze bilayer translocation of a broad range of substrates. Monte Carlo Normal Mode Following [Miloshevsky & Jordan, Structure14, 1241 (2006); 15, 1654 (2007)] is used to explore possible conformational change mechanisms in a ...

Common pathways and outliers in glucose catabolism across Trypanosomatidae

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, EarlyView.
Trypanosomatid parasites, including Trypanosoma sp., Leishmania sp., Phytomonas sp., and Vickermania sp., share a common motif: a metabolism built around the glycosome, a unique peroxisome‐derived organelle housing the first steps of glycolysis. Yet, these organisms have evolved remarkably diverse strategies to catabolize glucose, excreting distinct ...

Full‐Stokes Polarimetry Metasurface‐Enabled Single‐Shot Measurement of the Spin Hall Effect of Light

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 14, Issue 30, 14 August 2026.
This study presents a metasurface‐enabled approach to measure the spin Hall effect of light in a single‐shot. The metasurface splits a reflected light into six polarization‐dependent focal spots, allowing all Stokes parameters to be obtained from single image.
