Hybrid Area‐Emitting Transistors: Solution Processable and with High Aperture Ratios

Advanced Materials, 2015
Area emission is realized in all-solution-processed hybrid light-emitting transistors (HLETs). A new HLET design is presented with increased aperture ratio, and optical and electrical characteristics are shown.

Aperture intensity ratio fiber-optic displacement sensor

Review of Scientific Instruments, 1987
A displacement sensor based on the ratio of fiber-optic light emitted from two fixed position optical fibers into a third, movable fiber connected to a photodetector is described. Square-wave modulated light of opposite phases produces a corresponding square wave at the detector which has zero ac amplitude at the center position and an amplitude ...

P‐7.5: Analysis and research on the improvement of OPC compensation aperture ratio

SID Symposium Digest of Technical Papers, 2023
In this paper, we aim to improve the opening rate of color film substrate by proximity exposure mechanism, and carry out OPC (Optical Proximity Correction) at the corners of the pattern on the photo mask version, and DOE (design of experiments) to verify the optimal solution under the existing equipment and process conditions.

Influence of Rectangular Aperture Aspect Ratio on Sheet Beam Generation

2019 International Vacuum Electronics Conference (IVEC), 2019
A Pseudospark discharge based miniaturized sheet electron beam gun has been simulated using COMSOL Multiphysics software. The simulation has been performed to propose the dependency of the aspect ratio of rectangular aperture of hollow cathode on the onset of hollow cathode phase (HCP) as well as the HCP duration.

A large-aperture high-extinction-ratio Faraday-rotator isolator

IEEE Journal of Quantum Electronics, 1973
A 45° Faraday rotator has been built at the Naval Research Laboratory. This rotator is designed for use with a short-pulse high-peak-power laser, and it has demonstrated an extinction ratio in excess of 35 dB.

Relating double slope decay in coupled volumes with volume ratio, absorption ratio, and aperture size

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2003
Coupled volumes typically consist of two spaces connected through an opening known as a coupling aperture. If the absorption characteristics in the auxiliary space are such that its decay time is longer than that of the main space, late-arriving energy will be fed back into the main space by the secondary volume.

Imaging signal-to-noise ratio of synthetic aperture ladar

SPIE Proceedings, 2015
On the basis of the Poisson photocurrent statistics in the photon-limited heterodyne detection, in this paper, the signal-to-noise ratios in the receiver in the time domain and on the focused 1-D image and 2-D image in the space domain are derived for both the down-looking and side-looking synthetic aperture imaging ladars using PIN or APD photodiodes.

Electrode structure for high transmittance and aperture ratio in TFT-LCD

Journal of Materials Processing Technology, 2007
Abstract In this paper, we propose a new cell structure having a high aperture ratio and transmittance with chevron-shaped electrode. As an exemplary cell, we selected patterned vertical alignment (PVA) mode. Optical transmittance and aperture ratio were calculated by 3D-FEM numerical solver and extended Jones method solver.

Method for measuring the area of radiometric apertures using the ratio of Gaussian beams

Applied Optics, 2017
I propose and demonstrate a method for determining the area of radiometric apertures using the power ratio between Gaussian beams. The result relies on measuring the power of an optical beam of known radius with and without the radiometric aperture, this with area smaller than the beam spot.

Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar Imaging at Low Signal-to-noise Ratio

2010 International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Computational Intelligence, 2010
Inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) imaging at low SNR ratio is not resolved completely. The SNR increases in time-frequency domain over the one in the time or the frequency domain alone both theoretically and numerically. This shows advantage of time-frequency analysis technique for ISAR imaging at low SNR.
