Estimation oil-water mixture ratio using hybrid-polarized synthetic aperture radar

2021 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium IGARSS, 2021
The oil-water mixture ratio for oil spills on the ocean surface is an important parameter for volume estimation of oil spills, response strategy for the oil spills, cleanup operations, and remediation planning for the impacts on wildlife. The hybrid-polarized (HP) mode compact polarization (CP) Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) is a new SAR mode. Such new

An affect of the aperture length to aperture width ratio on broadband shielding effectiveness

2011 XXXth URSI General Assembly and Scientific Symposium, 2011
The influence of an aperture area (between 2λ2 and 11λ2) on the Shielding Effectiveness of metallic enclosures has been measured in an anechoic chamber, and wavelength dependent SE measurements are introduced. Measurement setup was established operating between 6GHz to 13GHz.

A Miniaturized Design of Shared-aperture Antenna with High Aperture Reuse Ratio for 5G Applications

2019 PhotonIcs & Electromagnetics Research Symposium - Spring (PIERS-Spring), 2019
A novel 3.5/38 GHz dual-band shared-aperture antenna is proposed in this paper. Miniaturization technology of the patch antenna is introduced into the shared-aperture antenna for the first time to reduce the occupied area. Meanwhile, high aperture reuse ratio and high channel isolation are achieved to support the sub-6G and the millimeter-wave antennas

85‐2: 2117PPI VR LCD with ultra‐high aperture opening ratio

SID Symposium Digest of Technical Papers, 2023
In this paper, the Pixel Design and the Process Technology of ultra‐high PPI display are investigated. For increasing the aperture open ratio in pixel design, the width of metal data line, the size of TFT and the crosstalk between metal lines are separately researched.

A large-aperture high-extinction-ratio Faraday-rotator isolator

IEEE Journal of Quantum Electronics, 1973
A 45° Faraday rotator has been built at the Naval Research Laboratory. This rotator is designed for use with a short-pulse high-peak-power laser, and it has demonstrated an extinction ratio in excess of 35 dB.

Concept of field-to-resolution ratio in aperture synthesis

SPIE Proceedings, 1994
The analysis of the imaging properties of an interferometric device essentially depends on the parameters that govern the Fourier synthesis operation: extension and density of the experimental frequency coverage (resolution, field, robustness), size and nature of the input errors (input data for the study of the error propagation).

Hybrid Area‐Emitting Transistors: Solution Processable and with High Aperture Ratios

Advanced Materials, 2015
Area emission is realized in all-solution-processed hybrid light-emitting transistors (HLETs). A new HLET design is presented with increased aperture ratio, and optical and electrical characteristics are shown.

Influence of Rectangular Aperture Aspect Ratio on Sheet Beam Generation

2019 International Vacuum Electronics Conference (IVEC), 2019
A Pseudospark discharge based miniaturized sheet electron beam gun has been simulated using COMSOL Multiphysics software. The simulation has been performed to propose the dependency of the aspect ratio of rectangular aperture of hollow cathode on the onset of hollow cathode phase (HCP) as well as the HCP duration.

Relating double slope decay in coupled volumes with volume ratio, absorption ratio, and aperture size

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2003
Coupled volumes typically consist of two spaces connected through an opening known as a coupling aperture. If the absorption characteristics in the auxiliary space are such that its decay time is longer than that of the main space, late-arriving energy will be fed back into the main space by the secondary volume.

Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar Imaging at Low Signal-to-noise Ratio

2010 International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Computational Intelligence, 2010
Inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) imaging at low SNR ratio is not resolved completely. The SNR increases in time-frequency domain over the one in the time or the frequency domain alone both theoretically and numerically. This shows advantage of time-frequency analysis technique for ISAR imaging at low SNR.
