Core APEX vs. Enhanced APEX

2012
An important strategic decision must be made at the beginning of an APEX project. The team must decide whether it will use the core APEX product exclusively or whether it will enhance the APEX development environment by adding support technologies that are not built into the APEX framework.

Chondroma of the petrous apex

Clinical Neurology and Neurosurgery, 2003
The clinicopathological features of a chondroma of petrous apex area examined with magnetic resonance (MRI) are presented. The extreme rarity of the location, the MRI aspect, and the surgical strategy based upon MRI studies make this case noteworthy.

Petrous Apex Cholesteatoma

Otolaryngologic Clinics of North America, 1989
In this chapter we have reviewed the etiology, diagnosis, and surgical treatment of petrous apex cholesteatoma. The etiology is usually congenital for those tumors arising within the apex, but acquired for lesions secondarily invading the apex. Diagnosis is primarily radiographic.

Orbital apex syndrome

Current Opinion in Ophthalmology, 2004
Visual loss from optic neuropathy and ophthalmoplegia involving multiple cranial nerves are the hallmarks of an orbital apex syndrome. Historically, the terms superior orbital fissure, orbital apex, and cavernous sinus have been used to define the anatomic locations of a disease process.

Orbit and Orbital Apex

Otolaryngologic Clinics of North America, 2011
Pathology affecting the orbit and orbital apex is diverse and heterogeneous. Many of the differential pathologies require management in a multidisciplinary team involving both otolaryngology and ophthalmology. This article discusses the differential pathologies.

Analysing APEX applications

17th IEEE Real-Time Systems Symposium, 2002
The next generation of civil aircraft may be produced using Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA). A component of IMA is APEX, a standard operating system interface. This supports a two-level scheduling scheme consisting of fixed priority scheduling within a statically generated cyclic schedule.

APEX

Proceedings of the 10th ACM symposium on Document engineering, 2010
The changing nature of document workflows, document privacy and document security merit a new approach to the enforcement of policy. We propose the use of automated means for enforcing policy, which provides advantages for compliance and auditing, adaptability to changes in policy, and compatibility with a cloud-based exchange.

Orbital apex syndrome

International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, 1987
The orbital apex syndrome is a very rare complication of fractures of the facial skeleton, as well as other conditions and is characterized by blindness, fixed dilated pupils, proptosis, ptosis of the eye and ophthalmoplegia. We are reporting such a case we had the opportunity of treating.
