doublesex regulates sexual dimorphism in elytral color patterns of Harmonia axyridis by downregulating the color patterning gene h in males. This regulatory link diverged in derived color morphs, coinciding with the loss of sex‐specific elytral color patterns.

Gene duplication has been shown to drive molecular evolution, with dietary pressures expanding detoxification genes across species. In humans, CYP2D6 gene duplications enhance alkaloid and drug metabolism, reflecting ancient dietary adaptations. Similarly, tobacco‐feeding aphids amplify CYP6CY3 for nicotine and insecticide resistance, and as recently ...

Cotton varieties resistant to Thrips tabaci exhibit lower soluble sugar and free amino acid levels, with smaller post‐infestation increases in these nutrients, resulting in reduced feeding rates and lighter damage. Key resistance evaluation indices include: damage severity, soluble sugars, free amino acids, soluble proteins, superoxide dismutase ...

Aerobic Actinobacteria belonging to the genus Frigoribacterium were isolated from adelgid Adelges (Aphrastasia) pectinatae collected from a Korean fir tree. Genomic analysis showed that these bacteria encode a range of factors that may be involved in the interactions between Frigoribacterium strains, adelgids and/or Korean fir trees.
