Perfusion Fixation With Glutaraldehyde and Post-Fixation With Osmium Tetroxide for Electron Microscopy [PDF]
The conductivity of cerebral cortex drops during perfusion with glutaraldehyde in 5 min to about 60% of the original value, to remain unchanged during the subsequent 10-15 min of perfusion.

Abstract Aim To develop a 3D‐printed model enabling treatment simulation of trauma‐related endodontic and restorative procedures like revitalization or placement of an apical plug on teeth with incomplete root formation. Methodology To generate a realistic training model suitable for trauma‐related simulations, CT‐Data sets were segmented, combined ...

Da Vinci's mischief: xylem conduits in the stems of woody plants do not furcate
Summary The hydraulic architecture of plants is often modeled as a ‘furcating’ network, in which xylem conduits proliferate in number toward the stem apex, analogous to animal circulatory systems. Yet whether furcation actually occurs within woody stems remains untested, despite major implications for carbon costs and hydraulic efficiency.

We identified two distinct molecular subgroups of mass‐forming intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (MF‐iCCA) based on the presence of a histological cholangiolocellular carcinoma (CLC) component. The CLC‐related molecular subgroup showed better prognosis and highly angiogenic features, as confirmed by both genetic analysis and morphological observation ...

ABSTRACT Aim Understanding why closely related species can have drastically different distributional range sizes is a fundamental question in biology. However, answering this question is challenging due to the multiple inter‐related factors that shape species distributions, particularly in continental regions, where unclear ecological and geographic ...
