Mechanistic Insights into Sodium Niobate Surface Coating for Enhanced Cycling Performance of MnCuFe‐Based Layered Oxides for Sodium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesBatteries &Supercaps, Volume 9, Issue 2, February 2026.
Surface coating is an effective strategy to suppress interfacial side reactions and extend battery cycling life. Herein, a hydrogen peroxide‐activated wet chemistry method using sodium niobate as a coating agent is reported. The niobium coating exhibiting temperature‐dependent behavior and specific features at different calcination temperatures.

Heat Therapy: Targeting Health, Disease, and Disability

open access: yesComprehensive Physiology, Volume 16, Issue 1, February 2026.
The predominance of evidence suggests heat therapy has an impact on all aspects of health and performance, but the drivers of that improvement, the extent to which they are improved, and the specific populations in which improvements manifest are far from completely understood.

Whitings in the Red Sea

open access: yesThe Depositional Record, Volume 12, Issue 1, February 2026.
We present the first documentation of whitings in the Red Sea, observed in a lagoonal environment. These events are linked to cascading offshore dense waters that liberate trapped sea floor nutrients, triggering algal blooms and elevating alkalinity, which is buffered by direct CaCO3 precipitation—contributing to the accumulation of aragonite mud in ...

Knowledge, Attitude, and the Practice in Nosocomial Infection Control Among Afghan Healthcare Workers in Herat Afghanistan: A Cross‐Sectional Study

open access: yesHealth Science Reports, Volume 9, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Hospital‐acquired infections (HIAs) remain a major threat to patient and healthcare worker (HCW) safety globally, with higher burden in low‐resource settings. Despite moderate knowledge among HCWs in many low‐income contexts, actual adherence to infection prevention practices is often poor.
