Stability Analysis of a Rigid Body with Attached Geometrically Nonlinear Rod by the Energy-Momentum Method [PDF]

open access: yes, 1989
This paper applies the energy-momentum method to the problem of nonlinear stability of relative equilibria of a rigid body with attached flexible appendage in a uniformly rotating state.

Primary epiploic appendagitis

open access: yesJournal of Coloproctology, 2013
AbstractPrimary epiploic appendagitis (PEA) is a seldom reported disease caused by spontaneous torsion of one or more epiploic appendices. The aim of this study is to describe two cases of PEA reviewing the main aspects of the diagnosis and treatment of disease.

Chemoresistome mapping in individual breast cancer patients unravels diversity in dynamic transcriptional adaptation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study used longitudinal transcriptomics and gene‐pattern classification to uncover patient‐specific mechanisms of chemotherapy resistance in breast cancer. Findings reveal preexisting drug‐tolerant states in primary tumors and diverse gene rewiring patterns across patients, converging on a few dysregulated functional modules. Despite receiving the

Successful cryoablation of an incessant atrial tachycardia arising from the right atrial appendage

open access: yesIndian Pacing and Electrophysiology Journal, 2015
The right atrial appendage can be the origin of focal atrial tachycardias. Their ablation can be challenging owing to the complexity of the appendage anatomy.

Torsion of testicular appendage [PDF]

open access: yesPediatric Radiology, 2009
A 12-year-old boy was evaluated for acute onset of pain in the right scrotum. There was no history of fever or dysuria. On examination, point tenderness was found superior to the right testicle with a bluish skin discoloration. Both testes were normal to palpation. On US, a hypoechoic mass was seen adjacent to the right epididymal head.

Landscape of BRAF transcript variants in human cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We investigate the annotation of BRAF variants, focusing on protein‐coding BRAF‐220 (formerly BRAF‐reference) and BRAF‐204 (BRAF‐X1). The IsoWorm pipeline allows us to quantify these variants in human cancer, starting from RNA‐sequencing data. BRAF‐204 is more abundant than BRAF‐220 and impacts patient survival.

Percutaneous left atrial appendage closure vs warfarin for atrial fibrillation: a randomized clinical trial.

open access: yesJournal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), 2014
IMPORTANCE While effective in preventing stroke in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF), warfarin is limited by a narrow therapeutic profile, a need for lifelong coagulation monitoring, and multiple drug and diet interactions.

Comprehensive omics‐based classification system in adult patients with B‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The COMBAT classification system, developed through multi‐omics integration, stratifies adult patients with B‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia(B‐ALL) into three molecular subtypes with distinct surface antigen patterns, immune landscape, methylation patterns, biological pathways and prognosis.

Catheter Ablation of Atrial Tachycardia Originating from the Tip of Right Atrial Appendage

open access: yesJournal of Arrhythmia, 2009
Right atrial appendage tachycardia is not common and can be eliminated by catheter ablation with a high success rate and low recurrence rate. However, the structural properties of the atrial appendage, including blind-ended structure, abundant ...
