Appendiceal mucinous neoplasms (AMNs) are uncommon gastrointestinal tumors characterized by mucus accumulation in the appendix. Patients may complain of acute appendicitis-like symptoms with other alarming features, but approximately half of the cases of AMNs are found incidentally on imaging.
