The Addition of Computer‐Aided Detection (CADe) to Texture and Color Enhancement Imaging (TXI) Does Not Improve Adenoma Detection Rate During Colonoscopy: A Prospective Study

open access: yesJournal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Volume 41, Issue 8, Page 2349-2355, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Objectives Early detection and resection of colorectal polyps prevent their progression toward advanced adenocarcinomas. The use of Texture and Color Enhancement Imaging (TXI) has been demonstrated to enhance adenoma detection compared to white light imaging.

Ileocecal Intussusception Caused by an Appendiceal Neoplasm

open access: yesJournal of Gastrointestinal Surgery, 2016
Mucinous appendiceal neoplasm occurs in less than 1% of appendicectomies. Majority of what is known in the literature is about pseudomyxoma peritonei, which exists as its disseminated form. Pictorial imagery of its pre-disseminated form is rarely observed.

Pan‐TRK expression and NTRK gene aberrations in meningiomas: association with tumor grade and proliferative activity

open access: yesThe Journal of Pathology: Clinical Research, Volume 12, Issue 4, July 2026.
Abstract Tropomyosin receptor kinase (TRK) fusions are actionable oncogenic drivers, and pan‐TRK immunohistochemistry (IHC) serves as a reliable screening tool for NTRK gene aberrations. However, the expression profile and clinical significance of pan‐TRK in meningiomas remain unclear.

SMAD4 Palmitoylation Drives a Metabolic‐Transcriptional Circuit to Promote Tumorigenesis and Confers Radiosensitivity in Pancreatic Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 41, 22 July 2026.
This study identifies palmitoylation as a novel regulatory modification of SMAD4, mediated by ZDHHC22/APT2. It activates fatty acid synthesis, creating a self‐reinforcing SMAD4–FASN–palmitate feedback loop that drives pancreatic cancer growth and enhances radiotherapy sensitivity.

Primary appendiceal mucinous adenocarcinoma in two first-degree relatives: case report and review

open access: yesHereditary Cancer in Clinical Practice, 2011
Carcinomas of the appendix are exceedingly rare tumors and have an annual age-adjusted incidence of around 0.4 cases per 100,000. Appendiceal adenocarcinoma accounts for < 0.5% of all gastrointestinal neoplasms and, of these, mucinous adenocarcinomas ...

The Molecular Pathology of Appendiceal Neoplasms

open access: yesAJSP: Reviews and Reports, 2019
Abstract We review the molecular pathological changes of appendiceal neoplasms, in part using the consensus terminology agreed by the Peritoneal Surface Oncology Group International (Am J Surg Pathol 2016;40(1):14–26; Histopathology 2017;71(6):847–858), with appendiceal neoplasms subcategorized as hyperplastic polyps and serrated lesions ...
