Consumer sensory evaluation of flavour enhancers derived from snail protein hydrolysate using the Rate-All-That-Applies method

open access: yesCzech Journal of Food Sciences
Snails, which are high in protein, have the potential to be developed as a flavour enhancer through the hydrolysis process. However, consumer acceptance of the flavour enhancer needs to be fully evaluated.

First records of Sepedonea lindneri (Hendel, 1932) and Protodictya lilloana Steyskal, 1953 (Diptera, Sciomyzidae) from Uruguay with an overview on their biology [PDF]

open access: yesCheck List, 2019
Sciomyzidae (Diptera) has been recorded in several countries of South America, but few species have been found in Uruguay. We report the first record of Sepedonea lindneri (Hendel, 1932) and Protodictya lilloana Steyskal, 1953 (Diptera, Sciomyzidae) from

Overwintering ability of the apple snail, Pomacea canaliculata.

open access: yesKyushu Plant Protection Research, 1987

Contrasting Patterns of Pomacea maculata Establishment and Dispersal in an Everglades Wetland Unit and a Central Florida Lake

open access: yesDiversity, 2019
The spread of non-native species raises concerns about native species displacement, while other negative effects on native species (e.g., habitat degradation) should also be considered.

Physiological and Ecological Characteristics of the Apple Snails

open access: yesKorean Journal of Environmental Agriculture, 2002
This experiment was carried out to obtain some information about overwintering, physiological and ecological characteristics of apple snails. Another purpose of this experiment was to characterize an appetite for rice plants by apple snails and to elucidate their choice of fresh green ones (vegetables, some other crops, weeds in rice fields).
