Application and benefits of formal methods in software development
Software Engineering Journal, 1992Formal methods for software development receive much attention in research centres, but are rarely used in industry for the development of (large) software systems. One of the reasons is that little is known about the integration of formal methods in the software process, and the exact role of formal methods in the software life-cycle is still unclear.

Applications of defect prevention in software development
IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications, 1990A description is given of the defect prevention process. It consists of causal analysis meetings to identify the root causes of errors and suggest preventive actions, an action team that implements the preventive actions, stage kickoff meetings to provide feedback to developers at each stage of the development cycle, and data collection and tracking of

Toward a software development methodology for anonymity applications
Proceedings of the 2010 EDBT/ICDT Workshops, 2010There are some software applications especially in privacy protection domain which they need anonymity support. Therefore lots of methods and protocols have been presented so far for providing this requirement. However no specific software development methodology has been yet provided for specification of anonymity requirements and consideration of ...

The Application of ISO 9001 to Agile Software Development
2008In this paper we discuss how to reconcile agile development's focus on speed and lean development with ISO 9001's need for documentation, traceability and control. We see no need to change neither ISO 9001 nor the agile concept. Instead, we see a need to be flexible when using terms such as planning and evidence of conformance.
