The Dual Generalized Inverses and Their Applications in Kinematic Synthesis

2012
The left and right dual Moore–Penrose generalized inverses are the subject of this paper. It is shown that, contrary to the real case, these inverses are not unique, those with minimum Frobenius norm being obtained. Their application in kinematic synthesis is discussed.

Applications of generalized inverses to Markov chains

Advances in Applied Probability, 1991
First it is shown that any generalized inverse of the infinitesimal generator of an irreducible Markov chain can be used to compute the exact stationary distribution and all the expected first-passage times of the chain. In the special case of a single-server queue this allows all computations to be done with upper-triangular matrices.

Application Of The Generalized Linear Inverse To The Inversion Of Static Potential Data

Geophysics, 1976
Abstract The inversion of static potential geophysical data by means of the generalized linear inverse of a matrix is discussed. The method provides the unique distribution of anomalous permeability or density, as the case may be, which gives rise to the observed data and which has a minimum total sum of squares of variation.
