Some microwave applications of the Kummer confluent hypergeometric function

Proceedings of 2003 5th International Conference on Transparent Optical Networks, 2003., 2004
Examples of the application of confluent hypergeometric functions in miscellaneous areas of theoretical physics are presented. Emphasis is placed on the use of Kummer function in the field of microwaves: the cases of normal and slow rotationally symmetric TE modes propagation in the azimuthally magnetized circular ferrite waveguide are considered. Some applications of the generalized hypergeometric function involving certain subclasses of analytic functions

Publicationes Mathematicae Debrecen, 2022
Two familiar subclasses of analytic functions are considered in the present investigation: the class \({\mathcal S}(\alpha)\) of analytic functions f(z) satisfying the inequality \[ Re\{f(z)/z\}>\alpha \quad (0\leq \alpha

Series Expansion for a Hypergeometric Function of Matrix Argument with Applications

Australian Journal of Statistics, 1982
SummaryA series expansion is obtained for the confluent hypergeometric function of the second kind when the argument is a 2 times 2 positive definite matrix. Applications are made to the distributions of Hotelling's generalized T02 statistic, and the smallest latent root of the covariance matrix.

On an application of the Kummer confluent hypergeometric functions

Conference Proceedings 2000 International Conference on Mathematical Methods in Electromagnetic Theory (Cat. No.00EX413), 2002
A lemma concerning an important property of the real zeros of the Kummer function is proved numerically. Based on it and on some known attributes of the latter, criteria for slow TE/sub 0n/ mode propagation in a circular waveguide with azimuthally magnetized ferrite are drawn.

APPLICATIONS OF GENERALISED HYPERGEOMETRIC FUNCTIONS AND FRACTIONAL CALCULUS

This research delves into the practical uses of fractional calculus and generalised hypergeometric functions, illuminating how these tools may be used to expand traditional mathematical ideas and tackle difficult analytical issues. For a long time, hypergeometric functions were fundamental in both theoretical and practical mathematics because of the ...

Study of generalised hypergeometric functions and fractional calculus with applications

Journal of Advances in Science and Technology
A strong foundation for tackling complicated issues in engineering, physics, and applied sciences is offered by the study of generalised hypergeometric functions and fractional calculus, which is a major junction of classical analysis and current mathematical theory.
