A method is presented for measuring diffusion coefficient in molecular sieves where gas adsorption in the sieve does not appear because the experimental temperature pressure conditions are far from equilibrium liquid-vapour conditions. The method determines the relation which connects the pressure variation of gas in a system formed by a cell ...

The Method of Sieves. A Survey of Recent Applications.
1985Abstract : The method of sieves is a technique of nonparametric estimation in which estimators are restricted by an increasing sequence of subsets of the parameter space with the subsets indexed by the sample size. The need for this technique arises in situations where the parameter space is too large for the existence or consistency of unconstrained ...

Microporous and Mesoporous Materials, 2014
Abstract A series of cobalt-doped SBA-16 (Co-SBA-16) mesoporous molecular sieves with different Co/Si ratio have been directly synthesized by the evaporation induced self-assembly (EISA) method. Characterizations with XRF, XRD, TEM and N 2 adsorption–desorption measurements demonstrate that the resultant materials remain a relative ordered cubic ...

A new frequency response method based on a sinusoidal modulation of pressure is developed to measure gas adsorption equilibria and kinetics simultaneously. The transfer phenomena of pure N2 and O2 gases on carbon molecular sieve are investigated for different pressures and particle sizes by this method.

AlPO4-5 and AlPO4-11 were synthesized by dry-gel conversion (DGC) method. Steam-assisted conversion (SAC) and vapor-phase transport (VPT) techniques were applied for this purpose. The synthesis was successful in presence of a certain minimum amount of external bulk water, without which the crystallization failed.

Abstract A technique for the determination of the pore size distribution of molecular sieve materials is described. This method is based on the determination of the microporous volume accessible to molecular probes of different sizes. The method is used to follow the molecular sieve structure which develops during the pyrolysis of polysilastyrene ...

Bayes Empirical Estimation by the Method of Sieves with some Applications
1997Let X be a random variable with the density function f(x|γ). Assume that the parameter γ is also a random variable with unknown a priori density θ(γ). In the paper the problem of approximation of a priori density via sieve is considered. The estimate obtained is further used to approximation of Bayes estimator of γ and Bayes risk by some Bayes ...

Sieve methods and their applications in number theory
2018What is a sieve? One possible answer is: a technique to extract information from a sequence A, for instance an interval of integers, to get properties of a smaller sequence, for instance the number of primes within this interval, or the number of prime twins. But what kind of information are we talking about?
