Approximating Zeros of Accretive Operators [PDF]
Let A A be an m m -accretive set in a reflexive Banach space E E with a Gateaux differentiable norm. For positive r r let J r {J_r} denote the resolvent of A A . If the duality mapping of E E is

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Formalizing Two Generalized Approximation Operators [PDF]
Summary Rough sets, developed by Pawlak [15], are important tool to describe situation of incomplete or partially unknown information. In this article we give the formal characterization of two closely related rough approximations, along the lines proposed in a paper by Gomolińska [2].

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

On Computation of Koopman Operator from Sparse Data [PDF]
In this paper, we propose a novel approach to compute the Koopman operator from sparse time series data. In recent years there have been considerable interests in operator theoretic methods for data-driven analysis of dynamical systems.

PARP inhibitors are used to treat a small subset of prostate cancer patients. These studies reveal that PARP1 activity and expression are different between European American and African American prostate cancer tissue samples. Additionally, different PARP inhibitors cause unique and overlapping transcriptional changes, notably, p53 pathway upregulation.

Sparse operator compression of higher-order elliptic operators with rough coefficients [PDF]
We introduce the sparse operator compression to compress a self-adjoint higher-order elliptic operator with rough coefficients and various boundary conditions.

Following high dose rate brachytherapy (HDR‐BT) for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), patients were classified as responders and nonresponders. Post‐therapy serum induced increased BrdU incorporation and Cyclin E expression of Huh7 and HepG2 cells in nonresponders, but decreased levels in responders.

Approximation by certain linking operators
The authors consider a class of operators linking Bernstein and genuine Bernstein-Durrmeyer operators, studied in [\textit{H. Gonska} and \textit{R. Păltănea}, Czech. Math. J. 60, No. 3, 783--799 (2010; Zbl 1224.41016)]. Using a modification considered in [\textit{H. Khosravian-Arab} et al., Numer. Algorithms 77, No. 1, 111--150 (2018; Zbl 1388.41002)],
