Discovery and Targeted Proteomic Studies Reveal Striatal Markers Validated for Huntington's Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Clinical trials for Huntington's disease (HD) enrolling persons before clinical motor diagnosis (CMD) lack validated biomarkers. This study aimed to conduct an unbiased discovery analysis and a targeted examination of proteomic biomarkers scrutinized by clinical validation. Methods Cerebrospinal fluid was obtained from PREDICT‐HD and

Second Order Filter Distribution Approximations for Financial Time Series with Extreme Outliers [PDF]

open access: yes
Particle Filters are now regularly used to obtain the filter distributions associated with state space financial time series. Most commonly used nowadays is the auxiliary particle filter method in conjunction with a first order Taylor expansion of the ...

Computing the Electric and Magnetic Matrix Green’s Functions in a Rectangular Parallelepiped with a Perfect Conducting Boundary

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2014
A method for the approximate computation of frequency-dependent magnetic and electric matrix Green’s functions in a rectangular parallelepiped with a perfect conducting boundary is suggested in the paper.

Shared Genetic Effects and Antagonistic Pleiotropy Between Multiple Sclerosis and Common Cancers

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Epidemiologic studies have reported inconsistent altered cancer risk in individuals with multiple sclerosis (MS). Factors such as immune dysregulation, comorbidities, and disease‐modifying therapies may contribute to this variability.

Expansion of Brownian Motion Functionals and Its Application in Econometric Estimation [PDF]

open access: yes
Two types of Brownian motion functionals, both time-homogeneous and time-inhomogeneous, are expanded in terms of orthonormal bases in respective Hilbert spaces. Meanwhile, different time horizons are treated from the applicability point of view. Moreover,

On the Equivalence of Fourier Expansion and Poisson Summation Formula for the Series Approximation of the Exponential Function

open access: yes, 2012
In this short note we show the equivalence of Fourier expansion and Poisson summation approaches for the series approximation of the exponential function $\exp ({-{t^2}/4})$. The application of the Poisson summation formula is shown to reduce to that of the Fourier expansion method.

Identification of Dynamic Loads Based on Second-Order Taylor-Series Expansion Method

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2016
A new method based on the second-order Taylor-series expansion is presented to identify the structural dynamic loads in the time domain. This algorithm expresses the response vectors as Taylor-series approximation and then a series of formulas are ...

Unraveling the Molecular Mechanisms of Glioma Recurrence: A Study Integrating Single‐Cell and Spatial Transcriptomics

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Glioma recurrence severely impacts patient prognosis, with current treatments showing limited efficacy. Traditional methods struggle to analyze recurrence mechanisms due to challenges in assessing tumor heterogeneity, spatial dynamics, and gene networks.

Development of a Personalized Visualization and Analysis Tool to Improve Clinical Care in Complex Multisystem Diseases With Application to Scleroderma

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective In complex diseases, it is challenging to assess a patient's disease state, trajectory, treatment exposures, and risk of multiple outcomes simultaneously, efficiently, and at the point of care. Methods We developed an interactive patient‐level data visualization and analysis tool (VAT) that automates illustration of the trajectory of a ...
