Approximation of bounded functions by positive linear operators

open access: diamondModern Mathematical Methods
A general family of positive linear operators associated with a power expansion is studied. An upper estimate of the rate of convergence is obtained for bounded continuous functions in \([0,\infty)\) that has limit when \(x\to \infty\).

Approximation of positive operators by analytic vectors

open access: yesKarpatsʹkì Matematičnì Publìkacìï, 2020
We give the estimates of approximation errors while approximating of a positive operator $A$ in a Banach space by analytic vectors. Our main results are formulated in the form of Bernstein and Jackson type inequalities with explicitly calculated ...

Approximation by Certain Linear Positive Operators of Two Variables [PDF]

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2014
We introduce positive linear operators which are combined with the Chlodowsky and Szász type operators and study some approximation properties of these operators in the space of continuous functions of two variables on a compact set. The convergence rate

The order of approximation by positive linear operators [PDF]

open access: bronzeTohoku Mathematical Journal, 1988
A quantitative version of a result obtained by the author [Math. Z. 194, 397-404 (1987; Zbl 0596.41036)], is presented. Some further results and applications concerned with quantification of convergence of nets of positive operators are derived.

Advanced ordinary and fractional approximation by positive sublinear operators

open access: diamondFilomat, 2021
Here we consider the ordinary and fractional approximation of functions by sublinear positive operators with applications to generalized convolution type operators expressed by sublinear integrals such as of Choquet and Shilkret ones. The fractional approximation is under fractional differentiability of Caputo, Canavati and Iterated-Caputo ...

Approximation Strategy by Positive Linear Operators [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces and Applications, 2013
Summary: Two important techniques to achieve the Jackson type estimation by Kantorovich type positive linear operators in \(L^p\) spaces are introduced in the present paper, and three typical applications are given.

On approximation properties of some non-positive Bernstein-Durrmeyer type operators [PDF]

open access: diamondAnalele Stiintifice ale Universitatii Ovidius Constanta: Seria Matematica, 2023
In this paper we shall introduce a new type of Bernstein Durrmeyer operators which are not positive on the entire interval [0, 1]. For these operators we will study the uniform convergence on all continuous functions on [0, 1] as well as a result given ...
