Impact of Asymptomatic Intracranial Hemorrhage on Outcome After Endovascular Stroke Treatment
ABSTRACT Background Endovascular treatment (EVT) achieves high rates of recanalization in acute large‐vessel occlusion (LVO) stroke, but functional recovery remains heterogeneous. While symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage (sICH) has been well studied, the prognostic impact of asymptomatic intracranial hemorrhage (aICH) after EVT is less certain ...

Approximation of bounded functions by positive linear operators
A general family of positive linear operators associated with a power expansion is studied. An upper estimate of the rate of convergence is obtained for bounded continuous functions in \([0,\infty)\) that has limit when \(x\to \infty\).

Korovkin-type convergence results for multivariate Shepard formulae
We present a new convergence proof for classic multivariate Shepard formulae within the context of Korovkin-type convergence results for positive operators on spaces of continuous real valued functions.

Simultaneous approximation by operators of exponential type [PDF]
There are many results on the simultaneous approximation by sequences of special positive linear operators. In the year 1978, Ismail and May as well as Volkov independently studied operators of exponential type covering the most classical approximation ...

Validity of a Wearable Digital Insole for Assessing Gait ON and OFF in Parkinson's Disease
ABSTRACT Objective Gait impairment is a distinctive symptom of Parkinson's disease that negatively impact mobility. We assessed the validity of wearable digital insoles against a validated reference gait analysis system for measuring select gait characteristics in patients with Parkinson's disease. Methods A comparative analysis between digital insoles

On summability and positive linear operators [PDF]
Quantitative estimates for approximation by positive linear operators are obtained with the use of a summability method which includes both convergence and almost ...

ABSTRACT Objective In multiple sclerosis, the optimal time for deploying a therapeutic intervention is before the central nervous system is damaged; given the success of trials treating the earliest stage of MS, the radiologically isolated syndrome, developing primary prevention strategies is an important next challenge.

On the Complexity of Optimization over the Standard Simplex [PDF]
We review complexity results for minimizing polynomials over the standard simplex and unit hypercube. In addition, we show that there exists a polynomial time approximation scheme (PTAS) for minimizing Lipschitz continuous functions and functions with ...

Approximation properties for modified $(p,q)$-Bernstein-Durrmeyer operators [PDF]
summary:We introduce modified $(p,q)$-Bernstein-Durrmeyer operators. We discuss approximation properties for these operators based on Korovkin type approximation theorem and compute the order of convergence using usual modulus of continuity.
