The rate of approximation of functions in an infinite interval by positive linear operators
Georgian Mathematical Journal, 2022An estimation of the approximation rate by positive linear operators of functions defined on the positive half line that have finite limit at infinity is discussed.

RACSAM, 2022
The idea behind Poisson approximation to the binomial distribution was used in de la Cal and Luquin (J Approx Theory 68(3):322–329, 1992) and subsequent papers in order to establish the convergence of suitable sequences of positive linear operators.

Approximation of Unbounded Functions by Linear Positive Operators
Mathematische Nachrichten, 1996AbstractA unified class of linear positive operators has been defined. Using these operators some approximation estimates have been obtained for unbounded functions. For particular linear positive operators these results sharpen and improve the earlier estimates due to Fuhua Cheng (J. Approx. Theory, 1984) and Xiehua Sun (J. Approx. Theory, 1988).

Blending‐type approximation by Lupaş–Durrmeyer‐type operators involving Pólya distribution
Mathematical methods in the applied sciences, 2021In the present work, we construct a new sequence of positive linear operatorsinvolving Pólya distribution. We compute a Voronovskaja type and a Grüss–Voronovskaja type asymptotic formula as well as the rate of approximation by using the modulus of ...

Statistical approximation theorems by k-positive linear operators
Archiv der Mathematik, 2006In this paper, using A-statistical convergence we obtain various approximation theorems by means of k-positive linear operators defined on the space of all analytic functions on the unit disk.

Weighted Statistical Relative Approximation by Positive Linear Operators
2018In this paper we define weighted statistical relative uniform convergence by using weighted density and give a Korovkin-type approximation theorem. Then, we construct an example such that our new approximation result works but its weighted statistical and statistical (and classical) cases do not work.

On simultaneous approximation by certain linear positive operators
Archiv der Mathematik, 1987Many approximation processes are based on operators defined for functions with an unbounded domain. Let L be a certain almost convex operator of order r-1 (r\(\in {\mathbb{N}})\), defined on a suitable subspace of \(C^ r(I)\), \(I=[a,\infty [\). The aim of the paper is to prove an estimate for the rth derivative \(| D^ rf(x)-D^ rLf(x)|\) in terms of ...
