Tropical totally positive matrices
We investigate the tropical analogues of totally positive and totally nonnegative matrices. These arise when considering the images by the nonarchimedean valuation of the corresponding classes of matrices over a real nonarchimedean valued field, like the

Tablet‐based handwriting tasks (spiral, meander, and wave) are transformed into unified images and analyzed using PD‐MGMA‐DSCNN, a lightweight multiscale gated attention network. Bayesian–genetic optimization improves performance, while SHAP attribution maps provide interpretable handwriting biomarkers for Parkinson's disease screening.

A lower bound for the height of a rational function at $S$-unit points
Let $\Gamma$ be a finitely generated subgroup of the multiplicative group $\G_m^2(\bar{Q})$. Let $p(X,Y),q(X,Y)\in\bat{Q}$ be two coprime polynomials not both vanishing at $(0,0)$; let $\epsilon>0$.

Isoelectronic Alloying in Zintl Phases Mediated the Avoided Crossing and Phonon Softening
A small amount of Hf doping endows Zr3Ni3Sb4‐Zintl with an unusually low thermal conductivity far exceeding that of similar systems. Two unique phonon mechanisms—avoided crossing and phonon softening—significantly suppress the lattice thermal conductivity. The average thermoelectric figure of merit is improved by 21%.

ABSTRACT Purpose To design 3D radial spiral phyllotaxis trajectories aimed at removing phase inconsistencies, improving image quality, and enhancing parametric mapping accuracy by acquiring nearly opposing spokes starting from both hemispheres in 3D radial k‐space. Methods Two 3D radial trajectories, pole‐to‐pole and continuous spiral phyllotaxis, were

Algorithms for Mumford curves [PDF]
Mumford showed that Schottky subgroups of $PGL(2,K)$ give rise to certain curves, now called Mumford curves, over a non-Archimedean field K. Such curves are foundational to subjects dealing with non-Archimedean varieties, including Berkovich theory and ...

This review outlines how understanding bone's biology, hierarchical architecture, and mechanical anisotropy informs the design of lattice structures that replicate bone morphology and mechanical behavior. Additive manufacturing enables the fabrication of orthopedic implants that incorporate such structures using a range of engineering materials ...

Digitally Tunable Dispersion Controller Using Low‐Loss Silicon Nitride Multimode Waveguide Gratings
A digitally tunable dispersion controller (DTDC) using low‐loss silicon nitride multimode waveguide gratings is demonstrated. Utilizing cascaded chirped multimode waveguide gratings and Mach–Zehnder switches, the device achieves a tuning range of 0–49.72 ps/nm with 1.60 ps/nm steps over a 26‐nm bandwidth.

Fractional Orbital Angular Momentum Sorting Using Wind Spiral Transformation
A wind‐spiral coordinate transformation enables mode sorting of fractional‐order orbital angular momentum (OAM) states, overcoming the limited channel count of conventional integer only sorters. Fractional OAM is mapped into a controlled superposition of integer modes, producing distinctive multi‐peak signatures for discrimination.

Copulas for Covariate Simulation in Pharmacometrics
ABSTRACT Patient‐specific covariates are commonly incorporated in pharmacometric and quantitative system pharmacology models to predict differences in pharmacokinetic or pharmacodynamic profiles between patients. When simulating new virtual populations of patients, generating realistic covariate sets that accurately reflect the correlation structures ...
