Approximation operators based on preconcepts

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2020
Using the notion of preconcept, we generalize Pawlak’s approximation operators from a one-dimensional space to a two-dimensional space in a formal context.

The 𝑀_{𝑑}-approximation property and unitarisability

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 2022
We define a strengthening of the Haagerup–Kraus approximation property by means of the subalgebras of Herz–Schur multipliers M d ( G ) M_d(G) ( d ≥ 2 d\geq 2 ) introduced by Pisier.

Structural instability impairs function of the UDP‐xylose synthase 1 Ile181Asn variant associated with short‐stature genetic syndrome in humans

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Topological structures of fuzzy neutrosophic rough sets [PDF]

open access: yesNeutrosophic Sets and Systems, 2015
In this paper, we examine the fuzzy neutrosophic relation having a special property that can be equivalently characterised by the essential properties of the lower and upper fuzzy neutrosophic rough approximation operators. Further, we prove that the set

Finite approximation properties of C∗-modules

open access: yesIllinois Journal of Mathematics, 2022
We study the notions of nuclearity and exactness for module maps on $C^{*}$-algebras which are $C^*$-module over another $C^*$-algebra with compatible actions and examine finite approximation properties of such $C^*$-modules. We prove module versions of the results of Kirchberg and Choi-Effros.

Gut microbiota diversity is prognostic in metastatic hormone receptor‐positive breast cancer patients receiving chemotherapy and immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this exploratory study, we investigated the relationship between the gut microbiota and outcome in patients with metastatic hormone receptor‐positive breast cancer, treated in a randomized clinical trial with chemotherapy alone or chemotherapy in combination with immune checkpoint blockade.

Homogeneous approximation property for continuous shearlet transforms in higher dimensions

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2016
This paper is concerned with the generalization of the homogeneous approximation property (HAP) for a continuous shearlet transform to higher dimensions. First, we give a pointwise convergence result on the inverse shearlet transform in higher dimensions.

Approximation properties and approximate identities of $A_{p}(G)$ [PDF]

open access: yesTransactions of the American Mathematical Society, 2008
A Banach space is said to have the approximation property, if every compact operator is a limit of finite rank operators. The first systematic study of variants of the approximation property was initiated by \textit{A. Grothendieck} [Mem. Am. Math. Soc. 16 (1955; Zbl 0064.35501)].

Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.
