Scholastic Aptitude, the National Teacher Examinations, and Teaching Success
The Journal of Educational Research, 1967AbstractThis study tests the hypotheses that (1) grades in high school and college as well as scores on nationally-standardised tests of scholastic aptitude and professional knowledge (National Teacher Examinations, NTE) do not predict rated success in teaching, but that (2) scholastic aptitude and achievement do predict scores on the NTE.
