Phase Boundary Engineering of Co2P‐CoP Branched Nanoparticles Enhances Cobalt Oxidation for Oxygen Evolution Electrocatalysis

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Phase boundaries between Co2P and CoP are constructed through a controlled transformation of Co to Co2P‐CoP branched nanoparticles. The polycrystalline mixed‐phase Co2P‐CoP branches are enriched with phase boundaries that stabilize Co active sites for OER. This work highlights phase boundary engineering as a powerful approach to tailor active sites and

Elephant‐Skin‐Inspired Porous Cementitious Tiles with Programmable Crack Networks for Passive Cooling

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Elephant‐skin‐inspired crack networks are programmed in porous diatomaceous earth (DE)‐cement composites using substrate‐guided, stress‐concentration induced fracture. The resulting crack lattices act as capillary conduits that redistribute water, while the porous matrix stores moisture.

Bubble Formation Control: Fabrication of Centimeter‐Sized Tissue‐Like Constructs by Catalase‐Coated Oxygen‐Releasing Hydrogel

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Oxygen‐releasing hydrogels are widely used to support cell survival in 3D cultures and to promote wound healing. However, incorporating catalase to convert H2O2 into O2 often generates additional oxygen bubbles, leading to material instability which rarely addressed.

Aqua Phyto biotics……. The Aqua Herbals

open access: yesInternational Research Journal on Advanced Engineering and Management (IRJAEM)
Research in the field of animal nutrition has recently begun to pay more attention to biologically active substances in plants, calling them Phytobiotics for growth and health and disease management of animals. Phytobiotics are plant derived products added to feed for their beneficial effect on gut, immunity, health, growth and performance ...

Treatment of Surgical Site Infection with Aqua Oxidation Water: Comparison with Povidone Iodine [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
Aqua oxidation water is a new disinfectant with a bactericidal activity based on high oxidation-reduction potential and acidity. We compared the effectiveness of aqua oxidation water and povidone iodine against the surgical site infection (SSI).

When Poor Exciton Dissociation Limits Photocurrents in Organic Solar Cells: Why Low Offset Non‐Fullerene Acceptor Blends Can't Be Efficient

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The energetic offset between the donor and the acceptor components in organic photoactive layers is central to the tradeoff between photovoltage and photocurrent losses. This Perspective covers the most important issues surrounding this topic in non‐fullerene acceptor blends, from the difficulty of accurately determining state energies and driving ...

High Center‐of‐Mass, Multi‐Legged Soft Robots Powered by Geometrically Encoded Liquid Crystal Elastomer Arc Appendages

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Inspired by the octopus and the golden wheel spider, soft robots with liquid crystal elastomer arc fibers as appendages are fabricated to transcend surface constraints through an elevated center of mass and minimal contact footprints. By leveraging curvature‐encoded deformation‐recovery cycles, these robots exhibit contractile, torsional, and flexural ...

Vom Kampf gegen Windmühlen

open access: yes, 2022
