Aquarium Earth is a short virtual reality (VR) experience created to demonstrate the educational application of virtual reality. Audiences will be given an opportunity to observe and interact with a virtual representation of a coral reef undergoing the destructive effects of climate change, pollution, and overfishing.

AXOLOTLS were hatched from eggs in the laboratory and kept in an open tank. Progress was satisfactory until they were about 1 in. long (8 weeks), when considerable numbers died suddenly, suggesting an epidemic infection. Two days previously there had been an unusual number of people present in the room.

Most aquarium fish live in a closed system, so the effects of toxins can be cumulative and devastating. Most cases of toxicity are due to deficiencies in husbandry and tank maintenance. Poor water quality kills more fish than infectious agents, making client education a very important preventive tool for aquatic practitioners.

The aquarium in the right heart
Echocardiography, 2018We presented a case with massive hepatic portovenous gas (HPVG) and gastric emphysema, probably due to increased intraluminal pressure in the stomach after bagging and noninvasive ventilation. There are multiple microbubbles in the inferior vena cava, right atrium and right ventricle.

Cryopreservation in Aquarium Fishes
Marine Biotechnology, 2001Few studies have addressed sperm cryopreservation in aquarium fishes (body sizes of 10 cm or less). There are several challenges inherent in developing cryopreservation procedures for these fishes. First, their small body size and sperm volume limit experimental replication and the numbers of treatments possible without pooling of samples. This hinders

The Aquarium as a Therapeutic AID
Psychological Reports, 1979Keeping fish in an aquarium is a highly popular hobby despite the fact that fish are not contact animals like dogs and cats. Practical and easy to keep, aquaria provide an opportunity to observe a microcosm, behaviors involving competition, mating, reproduction, territorial defense, and care of the young.
