Synergetic Relay Between Atomic Hydrogen and Chlorine Radicals Enables Efficient Nitrate‐to‐Nitrogen Gas Conversion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Using photoelectrochemical (PEC) deep denitrification technology, a novel synergistic reduction‐oxidation process enables efficient conversion of nitrate (NO3−) to nitrogen (N2), while suppressing key intermediate ammonium (NH4+) and toxic nitrite (NO2−) accumulation.

Electrochemical Nitrate Reduction Reaction to Ammonia at Industrial‐Level Current Densities

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review starts from the mechanism and theoretical basis of electrochemical nitrate reduction reaction (NO3−RR), and systematically summarizes and discusses the design strategies of industrial‐level current density catalysts. In addition, the progress of industrial‐level NO3−RR‐based electrolyzers, including flow reactor and membrane electrode ...

Fish responses to underwater sounds depend on auditory adaptations: An experimental test of the effect of motorboat sounds on the fish community of a large fluvial lake

open access: yesEcology and Evolution
Freshwater fishes exhibit a wide range of auditory adaptations and capabilities, which are assumed to help them navigate their environment, avoid predators, and find potential mates.

Enhanced Photocatalytic Wastewater Purification and Bacterial Elimination via Copper Ion Irradiation‐Induced Modification of BiOCl

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a copper ion irradiation method to achieve the modification function of BiOCl. By using high‐energy ion beams to introduce impurity ions inside the material, the intrinsic electric field of BiOCl is optimized, promoting the separation of photogenerated carriers and enhancing the photocatalytic activity.

Spatial and inter-annual variability of proto- and metazooplankton during summer around the Kneiss Islands (Tunisia, Central Mediterranean Sea)

open access: yesApplied Water Science, 2018
We studied the distribution of proto- and metazooplankton coupled with environmental factors in the coast area around Kneiss Islands (Central Mediterranean Sea). Zooplanktonic communities were sampled during summer 2009 and summer 2010 at three stations.

AQUATIC ECOSYSTEM MONITORING REMOTE VEHICLE.

open access: yesInternational Journal of Advanced Research, 2018
This paper reports the Underwater Vehicles for Surveillance and Monitoring Aquatic Ecosystem. The acceptable range of pH for aqua environment is between pH 6.0 to pH 8.0. Different problems associated with aquatic ecosystem due to water pollution are increasing pH and temperature due to global warming and decrease of dissolved oxygen.
