NEW RECORS OF AQUATIC AND SEMI-AQUATIC BUGS (HETEROPTERA: NEPOMORPHA, GERROMORPHA) FROM MONGOLIA
Transactions of Papanin Institute for Biology of Inland Waters RAS, 2023New distributional records for 17 species of aquatic and semi-aquatic bugs are provided from Mongolia: two species recorded for the first time for the country, Corixidae: Sigara (Sigara) striata (Linnaeus, 1758) and Gerridae: Aquarius paludum paludum (Fabricius, 1794).

Proceedings of the Zoological Society of London, 1960Aquatic Hemiptera Heteroptera have ventrally placed anterior thoracie and abdominal spiracles, the posterior thoracic and first abdominal spiracles being situated dorsally. Internally the spiracles are joined by paired thoracic and abdominal longitudinal tracheal trunks. Gas bubbles carried on the body surface function as gas stores and physical gills.

Aquatic Hemiptera (Heteroptera) of Kazakhstan, with notes on life history, ecology and distribution
Zootaxa, 2015Based on extensive field collections (2000-2014) in Kazakhstan and a review of the material in the National Institute of Zoology of Kazakhstan, we identified 68 species of aquatic Hemiptera from 11 families. Most species have broad zoogeographic distribution, dominated by West Eurasian fauna (18 species) and West Palearctic fauna (10 species).
