Understanding Surfactant Stabilization of MoS2 Nanosheets in Aqueous Dispersions from Zeta Potential Measurements and Molecular Dynamics Simulations

Journal of Physical Chemistry C, 2018
The sonication-assisted exfoliation of MoS2 in aqueous media in the presence of ionic surfactants to give stable dispersions is an attractive procedure for obtaining single or few-layered nanosheet...

Stimuli‐Responsive Polyurethane Dispersions – Aqueous Auto‐Dispersion

Israel Journal of Chemistry, 2018
AbstractWe report a single‐pot synthesis of polyurethanes (PUs) in solvent that utilizes an hydroxyl imidazolium bromide salt (ionic liquid) as a chain terminating group. This material, after being desolvated under activation, spontaneously disperses in water to form auto‐dispersing polyurethane dispersions (PUDs).

Non-Aqueous Dispersions

Journal of Elastoplastics, 1971
Polyvinyl chloride is the most common polymer for organosols Sec ond to PVC are the acrylics Polymer particles of colloidal size required for microgel formation can be formed by standard emulsion polymerization techniques. Effect of the solvent on film formation and the coating is important.

Novel aqueous dispersion polymers

Makromolekulare Chemie. Macromolecular Symposia, 1990
AbstractThree novel processes for the synthesis of aqueous dispersions of acrylic polymers are described. In each case, stabilisation of the latex is attributed to the presence of water‐soluble polymer chains grafted to the surface of the polymer particles.

Aqueous polyurethane dispersions

Colloid & Polymer Science, 1996
This review describes basic chemistry, preparation process, and physical properties of aqueous polyurethane disperisons and the derived films, along with the methods of post treatment to modify the properties. Basic way to render a polyurethane water dispersible without external emulsifier has been described.

Bio-based polyurethane aqueous dispersions

Physical Sciences Reviews, 2021
Abstract With the advances of green chemistry and nanoscience, the synthesis of green, homogenous bio-based waterborne polyurethane (WPU) dispersions with high performance have gained great attention. The presented chapter deals with the recent synthesis of waterborne polyurethane with the biomass, especially the vegetable oils including
