Stability of Thiols in an Aqueous Process Flavoring

Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 2001
The flavor stability of an aqueous solution of a savory model process flavoring based on ribose and cysteine was investigated during accelerated storage at 50 degrees C. Of the three sulfur-containing flavor-impact components investigated, 2-methyl-3-furanthiol was found to be the least stable (59% decrease/24 h), and it was followed by 2-furfurylthiol

Aqueous processing of hydroxyapatite

Materials Chemistry and Physics, 2006
Abstract This paper describes a study of the dispersion of hydroxyapatite (OHAp) powder in aqueous media. The slurry stability is achieved by utilizing a combination of a commercially available dispersant, polyacrylic acid sodium salt (PAA-Na) and ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, tetrasodium salt, dihydrate (EDTA·4Na·2H 2 O).

The transmethylation processes in the aqueous humour and in the lens

Experimental Eye Research, 1964
Some nicotinic acid derivatives have been determined chromatographically in the aqueous humour and in the lenses of normal human and ox eyes and eyes with cataract. In these two tissues transmethylation and formation of nicotinic acid and its derivatives from tryptophan occur regularly in normal eyes.

Glyoxal Ozonation Process in Aqueous Solution

Ozone: Science & Engineering, 1989
Abstract The process of ozonation of glyoxal in aqueous solution has been studied by following its chemical and kinetic evolution. Results show that the oxidative process leads to formation of carboxylic functions and carbon dioxide according to a constant selectivity ratio at varying conversion degree..
