Estimation of Phytoplankton Responses to Hurricane Gonu over the Arabian Sea Based on Ocean Color Data

open access: yesSensors, 2008
In this study the authors investigated phytoplankton variations in the Arabian Sea associated with Hurricane Gonu using remote-sensing data of chlorophyll-a (Chl-a), sea surface temperature (SST) and winds.

An Absorption-Based Bio-Optical Framework for Phytoplankton Size Class Retrieval in the Arabian Sea

open access: yesRemote Sensing
Phytoplankton size classes (PSCs) fundamentally regulate ocean productivity, biogeochemical cycling, and carbon export, yet their distribution and optical variability across the Arabian Sea remain poorly constrained.

Redistributive land reforms, agricultural productivity, and structural change: New cross‐national evidence

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Agricultural Economics, EarlyView.
Abstract Large‐scale land reforms constitute a substantial redistribution of wealth and reallocation of agricultural land, which is a major form of asset and production input in developing countries. While land redistribution (from the rich to the poor) remains a highly controversial issue, extensive evidence on its effect is limited.

Exosome‐mediated gut–brain axis signaling in neurodegenerative diseases: Mechanisms, experimental evidence, and therapeutic perspectives—A narrative review

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
The gut–brain axis is a bidirectional communication network between the intestines and brain, mediated by gut microbiota and exosomes, that regulates neuroinflammation, protein aggregation, and neuronal health processes central to neurodegenerative diseases.

Denitrification processes in the Arabian Sea

open access: yesJournal of Earth System Science, 1994
Recent information on some consequences of the acute mid-water oxygen deficiency in the Arabian Sea, especially on carbon-nitrogen cycling, is reviewed. An evaluation of published estimates of water column denitrification rate suggests an overall rate in the vicinity of 30Tg Ny-1, but the extent of benthic contribution remains unknown.

Catalytic Pyrolysis of Waste Polystyrene Over Fe–B Composite Catalyst for Enhanced Liquid Fuel Production

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Healthcare derived polystyrene waste represents a growing and under addressed fraction of plastic waste streams due to contamination risks and limited recyclability. This study aims to investigate the valorization of waste polystyrene foam through catalytic and noncatalytic pyrolysis pathways to evaluate product yield distribution and identify
