Spreading of Persian Gulf water in the northwestern Arabian sea during the month of January [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
The presence of different water masses in the North Arabian Sea continues to remain of interest to scientists and researchers. Focus on these water masses is due to the unique monsoonal reversal features of the Arabian Sea.

Decadal changes of the Western Arabian sea ecosystem [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Historical data from oceanographic expeditions and remotely sensed data on outgoing longwave radiation, temperature, wind speed and ocean color in the western Arabian Sea (1950–2010) were used to investigate decadal trends in the physical and biochemical

Sea surface temperatures of the western Arabian Sea during the last deglaciation. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
In this study we present a sea surface temperature (SST) record from the western Arabian Sea for the last\ud 20,000 years. We produced centennial-scale d18O and Mg/Ca SST time series of core NIOP929 with focus on\ud the glacial-interglacial transition ...

A Compact Spin‐Coated Graphene UWB Antenna for Breast Tumor Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A compact, spin‐coated graphene ultra‐wideband patch antenna designed for breast tumor detection, capable of distinguishing between malignant and benign tumors. This innovative antenna can serve as an effective initial screening tool, particularly in resource‐limited settings such as rural areas, where access to advanced medical equipment like MRI and ...

Biogeography of the coastal fishes of the Socotra Archipelago: Challenging current ecoregional concepts.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2022
The Socotra Archipelago, located in the eastern Gulf of Aden, has a unique marine environment, which combines tropical and 'pseudo-temperate' elements. An updated species inventory recently considered its coastal fish diversity the highest among Arabian ...

Exploring an Alternative to mRNA Vaccine Cold Chain Storage: MRNA‐Lipid Nanoparticle Stability When Dried in a Polymer Matrix

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The nanostructure, size, and function of mRNA‐loaded lipid nanoparticles are evaluated before drying, within polymer microneedles, and after rehydration. The results reveal the polymer and LNP loadings required to recover nanostructure and preserve the delivery performance in dry‐state formulations.

Salinity variability in the Arabian Sea [PDF]

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, 2005
Argo floats deployed in the Arabian Sea provided an opportunity to look at the temporal variability of the core‐depth of Arabian Sea High Salinity Water mass (ASHSW) at three locations in the north, central and southern Arabian Sea. These three locations show distinctly different variability patterns.

Temporally Delayed Deployment of Photo‐Responsive Liquid Crystal Polymer Networks Toward Neural Interfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Deployable medical devices typically need external stimuli to trigger deployment. However, external stimuli are difficult to supply within tissues. Here, we describe a strategy to deploy small‐scale structures into soft tissues after insertion without the need for any stimulus. We demonstrate deployment within a tissue phantom.
