Advanced handwriting identification: Triboelectric sensor array integrating with deep learning toward high information security

open access: yesInfoMat, Volume 7, Issue 8, August 2025.
A handwriting identification system is established by integrating a self‐powered handwriting signal acquisition device with an advanced deep‐learning architecture. The system demonstrated excellent performance in identifying the handwriting of genuine writers and forgers, which has perplexed humans for a considerable period.

Sticky Objects and Places: Entangled Emotions in an English‐Medium University Educationscape

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Linguistics, Volume 35, Issue 3, Page 1019-1030, August 2025.
ABSTRACT This paper explores entangled emotions in an Abu Dhabi English‐medium university educationscape in relation to sticky objects and sticky places, which are objects/places saturated in affect through familiarity and repetition. Moving away from a lingua‐centric approach to linguistic landscape research, this ethnographic study explores Emirati ...

Christian Bohr. Discoverer of Homotropic and Heterotopic Allostery

open access: yesActa Physiologica, Volume 241, Issue S734, July 2025.
ABSTRACT This essay recounts and revisits the scientific contributions of Christian Bohr, highlighting his pivotal role in discovering allostery about 120 years ago. Bohr's meticulous experimentation led to identifying two distinct forms of allostery: homotropic (single‐ligand) and heterotropic (multi‐ligand), the latter widely recognized as the Bohr ...

Two stage classifierfor Arabic Handwritten Character Recognition

open access: yesIJARCCE, 2015
In this paper we will present a two phase method for isolated Arabic handwritten character recognition system. The new method combines two levels based on two classifiers, a public and a private according to the similar features among characters. In the first level, we built a public classifier to deal with all character groups, each group contains ...

Ketocyanine‐Based Materials for Near Infrared‐to‐Visible Thermochromism

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 13, Issue 9, March 21, 2025.
Fine‐tunable thermochromic transition in the visible and near‐infrared spectral regions. Simultaneous or selective activation of distinct intermolecular interaction mechanisms of Ketocyanine dyes with the external microenvironment (i.e. aggregachromism, solvatochromism, keto‐enol equilibrium) gives straightforward access to several different ...
