Abstract The central icon of Arabic is Classical Arabic. What, though, is Classical Arabic? A distinction is drawn here between a normed Classical Arabic such as was defined by Ibn al-Sarraj’s (d. 316/928) Al-ʔUṣuwl fiy l-Naħw and the earlier, monumental, heterogeneous grammar of Sibawaih (179/789).

Transforming Standard Arabic to Colloquial Arabic
2018We present a method for generating Colloquial Egyptian Arabic (CEA) from morphologically disambiguated Modern Standard Arabic (MSA). When used in POS tagging, this process improves the accuracy from 73.24% to 86.84% on unseen CEA text, and reduces the percentage of out-of vocabulary words from 28.98% to 16.66%.

Arabic GramCheck: a grammar checker for Arabic
Software: Practice and Experience, 2005Arabic is a Semitic language that is rich in its morphology and syntax. The very numerous and complex grammar rules of the language may be confusing for the average user of a word processor. In this paper, we report our attempt at developing a grammar checker program for Modern Standard Arabic, called Arabic GramCheck.

The hostility of the Arab collectivity toward Israel is governed by two key emotions inherent in the Arab culture. Their defeat by Israel brought them shame, which can only be eliminated by revenge. Arabs fear domination and thus a strong Israel, but their fear of domination by other Arab factions prevents them from forming a joint offensive.
