Plant regeneration in Arachis pintoi (Leguminosae) through leaf culture
Plant Cell Reports, 2000Plant regeneration in Arachis pintoi was obtained via two developmental pathways: organogenesis and somatic embryogenesis. Organogenic callus cultures were initiated from pieces of leaf on MS medium supplemented with NAA or 2,4-D in combination with BA, KIN or 2iP.

Microbial characterization of Arachis pintoi and its silages at different fermentation periods
Molecular Biology Reports, 2019The microbial community present in forage peanut, a tropical legume, and its silages are unknown. For this reason, we used the Ion Torrent platform to study the bacterial community present in this legume during silage fermentation. Forage peanut was harvested at the start of flowering with a backpack mower and was chopped with a stationary ensilage ...

Morphological characterization of the USA Arachis pintoi Krap. and Greg. collection
Plant Systematics and Evolution, 2008Arachis pintoi accessions were morphologically characterized using a list of descriptors prepared by IBPGR/ICRISAT. Data from stems, leaves, flowers, pegs, pods, and seeds were collected. Phenotypic correlations were calculated among descriptors, and diversity indices were computed to access the genetic diversity among accessions.

Effect of Arachis pintoi groundcover on performance of bananas in northern New South Wales
Australian Journal of Experimental Agriculture, 1994Legume groundcovers have been promoted for controlling soil erosion in hillside banana plantations in northern New South Wales. An experiment was conducted at Alstonville to determine the effect of an Arachis pintoi (Pinto peanut) groundcover on banana productivity.
