When Light Challenges Heat: Mechanistic Insights Into a Reaction Competing With Cadogan Cyclisation in Nitro‐Perylenediimides

Visible‐light irradiation of nitro‐perylenediimide in the presence of triphenylphosphine reveals an unexpected pathway competing with the classical Cadogan cyclization.
