Notes on Acaulospora bireticulata Rothwell & Trappe and first record of Acaulospora koskei Blask. from Brazil [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
O conhecimento sobre a distribuição de espécies de fungos micorrízicos arbusculares (FMAs) ainda é restrito e as variações morfológicas observadas em isolados de uma mesma espécie podem proporcionar subsídios adicionais para o entendimento dos caracteres

Distribution of Functional Traits Along Climatic Gradients in the Subtropical Atlantic Forest

open access: yesAustral Ecology, Volume 50, Issue 11, November 2025.
We assessed the correlation between climatic factors and altitude with the spatial distribution of tree functional traits in the Subtropical Atlantic Forest. Deciduousness, symbiotic fixation of nitrogen (SNF), toothed leaf, spinescence and leaf area were more significantly associated with climatic drivers.

Contrasting Phylogenetic Signals in Flowering and Fruiting Phenology at Species and Assemblage Scales in a Climbing Plant Community

open access: yesJournal of Vegetation Science, Volume 36, Issue 6, November/December 2025.
This study examined the phylogenetic conservatism of flowering and fruiting in 78 climbing plant species relative to environmental gradients in a South Brazilian forest. Although species‐level analysis found a weak phylogenetic signal, a strong influence was detected at the assemblage scale, revealing that evolutionary history mediates the phenology ...

Leaf anatomy of Araucaria angustifolia (Bertol.) Kuntze (Araucariaceae) [PDF]

open access: yesRevista Brasileira de Botânica, 2003
Leaf anatomy of Araucaria angustifolia (Bertol.) Kuntze (Araucariaceae)). Immature and mature leaves of juvenile and adult plants of Araucaria angustifolia (Araucariaceae) were observed with the objective of updating the morphoanatomical data of the leaves of this species, which were restricted to basic descriptions in previous studies.
