Optimal design of maximally flat FIR filters with arbitrary magnitude specifications [PDF]
An optimal design procedure for maximally flat FIR (finite impulse response) filters, based on the Bernstein polynomial, is proposed. Using a set of recurrence relations, this method simultaneously searches for the optimum order of filter and the orders ...

A Moment Problem for Order Statistics [PDF]
Necessary and sufficient conditions are given for a triangular array of numbers to be expectations of order statistics of some nonnegative random variable.

BCL9 and BCL9L drive bladder cancer progression by enhancing β‐catenin signaling, promoting proliferation, migration, invasion, and organoid growth. Genetic depletion of BCL9(L) suppresses malignant phenotypes, while pharmacological disruption of the β‐catenin/BCL9(L) complex with ZW4864 inhibits canonical Wnt signaling and tumor‐associated cellular ...

Transitivity and partial order [PDF]
summary:In this paper we find a one-to-one correspondence between transitive relations and partial orders. On the basis of this correspondence we deduce the recurrence formula for enumeration of their numbers.

The water permeability of amorphous carbon dots (CDs) is demonstrated by investigating their plasticization. Novel polyamide‐based and amorphous nanoparticles are synthesized by controlling their inner packing density. Water plasticization is evidenced by the decrease of the CDs glass transition temperature with increasing the hydration degree.

A proof of Golomb's conjecture for the de Bruijn graph [PDF]
Golomb has conjectured that the number of cycles generated by an arbitrary binary recurrence relation does not exceed Z(n), the number of cycles generated by the pure cycling register.

Linear vector recursions of arbitrary order [PDF]
Solution of various combinatorial problems often requires vector recurrences of higher order (i.e., the order is larger than 1). Assume that there are given matrices A(1), A(2), ..., A(s), all from C-kxk.

On the inverse problem of the discrete calculus of variations [PDF]
In this paper we present an algorithm to find the discrete Lagrangian for an autonomous recurrence relation of arbitrary even order 2k with k > 1. The method is based on the existence of a set of differential operators called annihilation operators ...
