Experiment investigation on vacuum arc of AMF contacts under different materials

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2018
In this paper, the arc characteristics of cup-shaped AMF contacts in vacuum arc experiments under different materials was studied. The experiment was conducted in a detachable vacuum chamber with a gas pressure of 10-4Pa. The arc voltage and current were

Stretching the Printability Metric in Direct‐Ink Writing with Highly Extensible Yield‐Stress Fluids

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces “drawability” as a new metric for assessing printability in direct‐ink writing, focusing on gap‐spanning performance and speed robustness. By designing yield‐stress fluids with high extensibility, we demonstrate that extensional strain‐to‐break significantly enhances printability.

Infiltration sintering of WCu alloys from copper-coated tungsten composite powders for superior mechanical properties and arc-ablation resistance [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
W70Cu30(W-30 wt.% Cu) alloys were fabricated using cold pressing and infiltration sintering methods from two types of powders, i.e., mixed copper-tungsten (M-Cu-W) powders and our newly developed copper-coated tungsten composite (Cu@W) powders ...

Cathode erosion in a gas arc discharge at the threshold currents

open access: yesTechnical Physics, 2022
The results of experimental studies of the erosion rate of high-purity tungsten cathodes after pulsed arc discharges in a pure oil-free ultrahigh vacuum and in gases of various purities are reported. The erosion rate in high-purity argon does not change compared to the rate of erosion of electrodes in a pure oil-free vacuum. The rate of erosion in

Nanotherapies for Atherosclerosis: Targeting, Catalysis, and Energy Transduction

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Atherosclerosis management is hindered by poor drug targeting and plaque heterogeneity. Nanotechnology overcomes these barriers via three core strategies: (1) target‐engineered nanocarriers that achieve lesion‐specific precision via ligand modification, biomimetic camouflage, stimuli‐responsive release, and self‐propelling nanomotors; (2) catalytic ...

Preparation of Ag-based electrical contact materials and their anti-arc erosion property

open access: yesXi'an Gongcheng Daxue xuebao
To address the issues of poor arc erosion resistance and short electrical life of Ag-based electrical contact materials, the surface of carbon fibers was modified by chemical copper plating, and then Ag-based electrical contact materials were prepared by
