Multiferroic‐Centric Materials and Systems Engineering for Battery Applications: An Insight Into Mechanisms, Strategies, and Characterizations

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Multiferroic order parameters – polarization, magnetization, and ferroelastic strain – are positioned as dynamic design variables for batteries. Their mechanistic roles, practical tuning through fabrication and external fields, and ferroic‐resolved characterization routes are unified into a closed‐loop framework, revealing how coupled ferroic responses

DETERMINATION OF PERIOD OF THE FURNACE HEAPING BY MEANS OF AMPLITUDE OF ODD HARMONICS OF THE ARC PRESSURE

open access: yesЛитьë и металлургия, 2006
The harmonic components of the arc pressure are investigated on blast steel furnace-1,2. The period of the furnace heaping by means of amplitude of odd harmonics of the arc pressure is determined.

Dynamic Reconstruction‐Engineered Heterointerfaces for Acidic Hydrogen Evolution at Ampere‐Level Current Density

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A dynamic reconstruction strategy was utilized to construct PtCu/Cu3P heterostructures on the surface of self‐supporting Cu3P nanowires. The loose porosity in the restructured layer, together with a dynamic “dissolution‐redeposition” equilibrium during electrocatalysis, enables the electrode to maintain a low, stable overpotential for 240 h at ampere ...

Determination of Capacity and Technical Parameters of Transformer for Ultra-High Power Electric Arc Furnace

open access: yesTeshugang, 2005
Besides capacity of electric arc furnace, the production conditions such as chaining, melting steel grade, steelmaking process and production flow sheet influence the determination of rating capacity of transformer for electric arc furnace, It has been ...

Estimating the Impact of Arc Furnaces on the Quality of Power in Supply Systems

open access: yesEnergies, 2020
Arc furnaces, due to their high unit power and load nature, belong to the receivers affecting the power quality. A dynamically changing electric arc is the main source of disturbances generated by arc devices. This current article presents the results of

Enhanced Mechanical Properties Via Boron‐Induced Multi‐Mechanism Strengthening in (NbTaTi1.5V)100‐xBx Refractory High Entropy Alloys

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A trace amount of boron is introduced into NbTaTi1.5V RHEA, forming a finegrained BCC+TiO+TiB microstructure. The TiB phase generates numerous dislocations, strengthening the alloy. The alloy exhibits 3610 MPa compressive fracture strength and 1060 HV microhardness, while retaining 14.8% fracture strain.

Present Status and Future Development of Domestic Electric Arc Steel Production

open access: yesTeshugang, 2009
The output of domestic arc furnace steel increased year by year which was near to 50 million ton in 2007. The number of large electric arc furnace increased obviously,in 2007 the output of ≥ 50 t electric arc furnaces was about 83.5% of total electric ...

Chemically Gradient Ordered Nanodomains Enable Large Tensile Ductility in Gigapascal Lightweight Refractory High‐Entropy Alloys

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A high‐strength lightweight refractory high‐entropy alloy achieves extraordinary ductility owing to the introduction of coherent chemically gradient ordered nanodomains (CGONs). The CGONs not only serve as effective barriers to dislocation motion (strengthening) but also significantly promote dislocation nucleation and multiplication (ductilizing) upon
