Experimental and simulation data for point-by-point wire arc additively manufactured carbon steel bars loaded in uniaxial tension

open access: yesData in Brief
Wire arc additive manufacturing is considered to allow a reduced material consumption for structural steel components by efficiently distributing the material only where necessary.

Flow loss and structure of circular arc blades with different leading edges

open access: yesAdvances in Mechanical Engineering, 2018
Due to much lower cost of development and production, circular arc blades are often applied to axial flow fans. However, compared with NACA 65 profile, circular arc blades have higher losses, which are caused by the formation of separation bubbles or ...

Numerical Estimation of the Geometry and Temperature of An Alternating Current Steelmaking Electric Arc [PDF]

open access: yessteel research international, 2020
A channel arc model (CAM) that predicts the temperature and the geometry of an electric arc from its voltage and impedance set‐points is presented. The core of the model is a nonlinear programming (NLP) formulation that minimizes the entropy production of a plasma column, the physical and electrical properties of which satisfy the Elenbaas–Heller ...

A Study on Process Characteristics and Performance of Hot Wire Gas Tungsten Arc Welding Process for High Temperature Materials [PDF]

open access: yesMaterials Research, 2016
Hot wire gas tungsten arc welding (HW-GTAW) process is the one where the filler wire is pre-heated close to its melting point before it is fed in to the arc.

The arc-length variation of analytic capacity and a conformal geometry [PDF]

open access: yesNagoya Mathematical Journal, 1992
For a domain Ω in the extended complex plane C ∪{∞}, H∞(Ω) denotes the Banach space of bounded analytic functions in Ω with supremum norm ∥ · ∥H∞ For ζ ∈ Ω, we putwhere f′(∞) = lim,z→∞z{f (∞) = f(z)} if ζ = ∞.

The Geometry of Leptin Action in the Brain: More Complicated Than a Simple ARC [PDF]

open access: yesCell Metabolism, 2009
Leptin signals the repletion of fat stores, acting in the CNS to permit energy utilization by a host of autonomic and neuroendocrine processes and to decrease feeding. While much recent research has focused on the leptin-regulated circuitry of the hypothalamic arcuate nucleus (ARC), the majority of brain leptin receptor (LepRb)-expressing neurons lie ...

Unrolling of Syngonium podophyllum: Functional Anatomy, Morphology and Modelling of Its Peltate Leaves

open access: yesAdvanced Biology, EarlyView.
The unrolling of the peltate leaves in Syngonium podophyllum is analyzed and quantified (left‐hand side to center). These measurements serve to verify a mathematical model for leaf unrolling based on the model used in Schmidt (2007). An additional formula for obtaining a layer mismatch from a prescribed radius is derived.

Altering the Supply of Shielding Gases to Fabricate Distinct Geometry in GMA Additive Manufacturing

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2022
Wire arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) is the process by which large, metallic structures are built, layer-by-layer, using a welding arc to melt wire feedstock.
